Vesak is a religious & cultural festival in Sri Lanka, celebrated on the day of full moon in the month of May. Vesak lanterns, Pandols and Dansals are significant features of this celebration. Texlan Center arranged an Inter-Departmental Vesak Lantern Competition on 28 Apr., 2018. Quality team was the winner while Knitting team received the second place.

Another aspect of Vesak is the act of giving, which takes the form of popular Dansala or free food stall. Texlan Center held an ice cream Dansala on 1 May, 2018 at the factory premises as well as in the city of Minuwangoda. The team distributed around 5000 cones with various ice cream flavours among participants.
