Interloop Plant 4, the new vertically integrated manufacturing facility has been planned on LEAN based operational procedures and equipped with 736 state of the art Knitting Machines, e-Flow Washing Technology and Latest Boarding Machines.

Under LEED v4 BD+C: New Construction, Plant 4 was evaluated on following Impact Categories and scored 65 out of attempted 74 points:

  • Integrative Process
  • Location & Transportation
  • Sustainable Sites
  • Water Efficiency
  • Energy & Atmosphere
  • Materials & Resources
  • Indoor Environmental Quality
  • Innovation
  • Regional Priority Credits

  • Improved erosion and sedimentation control to reduce negative impacts on water and air quality during Construction
  • Metered and Monitored Energy
  • Reduced water consumption with efficient water fixtures and metering of water at each consumption head
  • Used environmental friendly material including low VOC paint material & recycled material
  • Installed efficient HVAC System having Electric water-cooled chillers, Evaporative coolers, Energy recovery ventilators and VRF System for Office Block
  • Enhanced thermal comfort by using the double glazed glass and insertion of insulation boards at all outdoor windows, walls and ceiling respectively
  • Constructed external roads with Tuff Pavers replacing the Bitumen carpeted road to reduce the heat island
  • Developed rainwater management plan to store water and re-use for horticulture
  • Targeted to install the 260 KW Solar System to harvest renewable energy and reduce grid electricity

Sustainability Impacts Achieved:

  • 26% Savings in Energy Consumption
