Alzheimer SOCKS raised € 380,000 for Alzheimer Research

Improving People Well-being, Interloop Limited teamed up with Euro Sox Plus BV (an allied company in Netherlands) for this year’s Alzheimer SOCKS campaign which has been a great success. Over 66,000 pairs have been sold, generating € 380,000 donated to VUmc Alzheimer Center in Amsterdam, for research on Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. Pascal Betten, Managing Director, Euro Sox Plus presented the cheque to Alzheimer Centre on 13 Feb. 2019. Philip Scheltens, Neurologist & Director, Alzheimer Center said on the occasion, “For good research on the cause & treatment of dementia, 3 things are essential; money, inspiration & talent. The talent is present in our Alzheimer Center, the inspiration we get from the patients that we see and ask us to help them & the money we need we get by fantastic fund raising actions, such as the Alzheimer SOCKS!” In 2015 & 2017 also, Euro Sox Plus & Interloop Limited produced the 1st and 2nd collections of Alzheimer SOCKS. Both editions collectively generated €700,000, donated to VUmc Alzheimer Center.
