As done in the previous years, Interloop’s Admin. Dept. organized the 7th Interloop Badminton tournament from 14 – 16 Feb., 2018 at Al Fateh Sports Complex, Faisalabad. Tournament comprising 48 Players with 68 pool matches, 10 semifinals and 5 finals, were battled hard in order to win the championship title.

On the final day, the Chief Guest, Brig. (Retd) Ahmed Riza Siddiqi, Executive Director Interloop Limited with Faisal Naveed, Sr. Manager Support Services and Abdul Samad, Asst. Manager Support Services cheered along with the enthralled audience. Keeping their winning streak this year too, Rameez and Jamshed again won Men’s Double final against Zahid Jabbar and Khawar Bakht. Rameez was also able to keep his Men’s Single title by winning against Jamshed.

The duo Naheed Aslam and Faiza Hassan won Women’s double against Saima Zaib and Asma. While Naheed continued to win the Women’s Single as well, against Faiza. In Mix doubles, the champions of the Men and Women’s Single, Rameez & Naheed Aslam beat Jamshaid & Zillay Sana Azeemi.

Chief Guest, Brig. (Retd.) Ahmad Riza Siddiqi awarded cash prizes and trophies to the winner, runners up and the organizers of this enjoyable tournament. He also appreciated the efforts of female players for their participation and encouraged them to be more involved in such activities.
